How can you give, why is your support critical right now, and what have we done to deserve it?
Through tight fiscal control, forward-looking planning, and careful placement of our hard-earned dollars, in the last four years we have rebuilt an exemplary Faculty, added programs that respond to a changing marketplace and that enhanced learning for an expanding student population (English as a Second Language and Early Childhood Development), and appointed Faculty who help maximize student learning (a Learning Skills Director and a Technology Integration Specialist).
In addition, we have completed important physical plant additions and improvements such as our Elementary playground, Lower and Upper School Library renovations, and an expanded technology infrastructure. Dust will start to fly this winter with costly and extensive exterior repair and Gymnasium renovation.
We have done all of this while staying true to our mission, balancing our budget in each of my four years, remaining competitively priced, incurring no indebtedness, expanding need-based financial assistance, and building cash reserves for long-deferred capital projects.
As we continue a strong upward trajectory toward our Centennial in 2018, we need your help. With planning and determination, we can leapfrog to the forefront of New York’s best independent schools.
Realizing that we must articulate clearly the difference that Annual Giving makes for our students and Faculty, and how and why you can contribute each year, we have developed these Annual Giving webpages. We invite you to read through them, and then decide how you can support each of the three components of Annual Giving this year.
All the best,
Director of Institutional Advancement
