  • Deadline for Lower School Families to Sign Up for Parent/Teacher Conferences

Lower School conferences will be held on Fri 8 Nov, either virtually via Zoom or in person. We encourage families to attend in person whenever possible. We will offer complimentary childcare for all students enrolled at Kew-Forest in Grades PS/PK - Grade 5 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Fri 8 Nov. Please take advantage of this opportunity - meeting the teachers and seeing the children’s classrooms and their work in person provides a window into your child’s school experience that doesn’t happen when a conference is virtual. Use this link to sign up for child care. The deadline to sign up for child care is Thurs 31 Oct.

Please read this communication from Ms. Bernstein and Dr. Henry, dated Wed 30 Oct, containing important information and instructions for signing up.

    Please register here: MyConferenceTime.

All Middle & Upper School conferences will be held via Zoom, so please locate and save your child(ren)’s teachers’ Zoom information in advance.  You will find it next to their names in when you go to sign up for meetings, and you can also find it in this Faculty PMI/Passcodes 2024-25 sheet.

Note regarding meetings with Ms. Eaton:
In order to make herself available for translation needs of international families, Ms. Eaton's schedule is reserved for international family parent-teacher conference translation first. However, if Ms. Eaton is teaching your child in Dance class and you would like to set up a meeting with her regarding their performance in her class, she would be more than happy to schedule a meeting with you. To schedule a meeting with Ms. Eaton about your child's performance in Dance class, please email Ms. Eaton directly (leaton@kewforest.org).

Important notes as you schedule your meetings:

    Rutgers Model United Nations Conference

    Organizer: G. Gordon
    Location:   New Brunswick, NJ

The Kew-Forest Model UN Club continues to prepare for the Rutgers University Model United Nations Conference (“RUMUN”). Approximately 20 Club members are planning to attend. Most K-F participants will represent Nigeria on a UN Committee. Within the past few weeks, Club Officers have briefed Club members on various challenges confronting Nigeria and provided an overview of Nigeria’s foreign policy. Club Officers also led training sessions on conducting research and on how to write pre-conference position statements to submit to their assigned committees. RUMUN has begun sharing long background guides on various Committee topics with RUMUN participants so Club members will intensify their Conference preparation in the weeks ahead.

The Club has attended RUMUN many times over the past two decades, most recently in 2019, and is looking forward to returning to this well-established, high-quality conference!
