Admission for 2024-2025 Mid-Year Entry

Mid-Year Admission for the current school year: Applications for entry to the current school year (2024-2025) will be accepted on a rolling basis. Before applying for this current school year, please email admission@kewforest.org to confirm space availability for your child's grade. Please indicate your intended date of entry on the application form. The actual start date will be confirmed by the school upon an offer of admission.
 

ADMISSION FOR 2025-2026 ENTRY

Priority Consideration for September 2025 entry: Applications submitted by the deadline for priority consideration - December 15, 2024 -  and complete by January 9, 2025 will be notified of our decisions as per the ISAAGNY calendar located to the right.

Rolling Admission for September 2025 entry: Applications submitted after December 15 will be considered on a rolling basis, as space allows, once priority notifications are released in February. Rolling admission applications submitted and completed by January 9 may be considered in the priority round.

      • Domestic: $75 (*Tuition Assistance Applicants: If the application fee presents a hardship, please contact Admission to request a partial fee waiver.)
      • International: $150 USD

The items listed below must be submitted in order for an application to be considered complete and reviewed for a decision.
  • Preschool through Grade 5:
    • Parent interview (Preschool-K)
    • Kew-Forest teacher assessment (TBD)
    • Teacher recommendation form
    • Supplemental teacher recommendation (optional)
    • School administrator recommendation (grades 2-5)
    • Report cards/progress reports (grades 2-5)
  • Grades 6 through 12:
    • Student statement

Decision Notification and Reply Dates

The Kew-Forest School is a member of the Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) and follows the notification and reply date guidelines of the association. For applications submitted by December 15 and completed by January 9, 2024, notification dates are as follows:
