K-F Life

Afterschool & Mini-Courses

Afterschool and extracurricular activities are vital parts of the K-F program. They allow children to test and stretch their interests and talents in new ways, while making new friends and learning valuable social skills.

AFTERSCHOOL & MINI-COURSES (PRESCHOOL - GRADE 6)

The heart of our Afterschool Program for PreK - Grade 6 involves Afterschool and Mini-Courses, which are fee-based and generally run Monday through Friday, from September to June (except during school vacations). Afterschool is available from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.; Mini-Courses typically run from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Afterschool Program (Preschool - Grade 6)
The Kew-Forest School’s Afterschool Program was developed to meet the needs of families who require childcare after the school day is over. Our Afterschool Program provides a safe, secure, and enriching environment in which children can grow socially, physically, emotionally, and academically.

Mini-Courses (PreK - Grade 6)
Mini-Courses are special courses that meet once or twice a week and introduce young children to a variety of activities that help build confidence and skills. Offerings typically include activities such as chess, lego robotics, soccer, or coding.

The Afterschool Program & Mini-Course Registration
Children may attend Afterschool on a full- or part-time basis; each Mini-Course runs for approximately one trimester. Information and registration materials are sent to K-F families in the fall and right before sessions start. If you need additional information, please contact our Director of Auxiliary Programs and Summer Camp, Keesha Sterling at ksterling@kewforest.org.
