Uniforms & Jagwear

Uniforms

Uniforms are an important part of The Kew-Forest School tradition. All students in preschool through grade 12 are required to wear uniforms.

Kew-Forest’s uniform affirms our culture as a learning community by encouraging neat and tidy appearance and reducing potential distractions. By choosing to be members of the Kew-Forest community, our families agree to uphold the dress standards outlined in the uniform.

With permission (senior privileges), we allow our senior students to wear "business attire" and include traditional ethnic garb as part of that category.

REMINDER:  Please remember to label all clothing (uniform garments, coats, boots, hats, mittens, etc); it helps immensely to identify misplaced items. For Preschool, PreK, and Kindergarten students, a complete change of uniform (including underwear) should be left at school.
IMPORTANT - Lands' End is our exclusive uniform provider. Only uniforms purchased from Lands’ End are permitted. Uniforms from Flynn O’Hara are no longer permitted.

Jagwear

Jagwear (spiritwear) is a collection of apparel inspired by our school colors, red (maroon) and blue (navy), and mascot (jaguar) to promote school pride.

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear Jagwear on Jagwear Fridays. Jagwear Fridays occur on designated Fridays throughout the school year usually happening on the first Friday of the month. The schedule for 2024-2025 can be viewed here.
The KFPA organizes a uniform resale at various times throughout the school year, typically during the first week of school and during parent/teacher conferences in the fall/spring. They collect clean, gently used uniforms and sell each piece for $5. The school patch can also be purchased for the blazer.

Please contact the KFPA to arrange to view the inventory at school at kfpa@kewforest.org.
