Virtual Info Session: March 2026 Costa Rica Conservation Trip (for Grade 10-12 students in 2025-2026)
Organizers: C. Gambra-Sposato, J. Alvarez, G. Matnadze
Grade 10-12 students in 2025-2026 who are enrolled in their second year or more of Spanish are invited to join us on an educational travel experience to explore Spanish and conservation in Costa Rica in March 2026! The trip will occur through EF Tours, our educational travel partner, and is a multidisciplinary partnership between the Spanish, Science, and Arts departments at Kew-Forest.
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. This trip in particular combines experiential learning with a component of volunteer service oriented toward environmental conservation projects in Costa Rica.
Importantly, the experience will emphasize in situ (on-site) learning, which is one of the best methods to absorb, and naturally learn, and advance a foreign language and understanding of a culture. We believe this trip will dramatically enhance our Spanish program at Kew-Forest while building the skills that are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow.
We would love to have your child join us on this adventure. To read about the opportunity in more detail, please visit here.
